3 Ways to Manage Stress
Ideally, we'd all learn how to live our lives with minimal stress, but I haven't quite cracked that nut yet.
Instead, I've taught myself how to manage my stress when it comes to running my business, serving my clients and making time for my relationships too.
Here are the top 3 things I do to manage my stress when it gets high:
1. My first point of call is to re-evaluate my priorities by asking myself is my focus in the right place, is this stressful situation moving me any closer to reaching my goals? If not then it’s off the to do list and onto the next, more effective task.
2. When that doesn’t cut the mustard I take 5 minutes and put some space between myself and the stressful situation. That could be leaving the room to make a hot drink, stepping outside to get some fresh air, or even a quick call to my mum!
3. And if that fails it’s time to move onto some real self care, ‘me time’. I tend to find half an hour the perfect amount of time to apply my oils, roll out the yoga mat to do some slow gentle stretches or meditation and focus on my breathing. Before I know it I’m back to feeling grounded and at ease!
