The Struggle Is Real
As a consultant, I keep things private between my clients and I (of course). But lately, I've noticed a few similar themes pop up between my various clients and I thought some of my followers may be feeling the same.
Sometimes it's just nice to know you're 'not the only one'. So here are the top 3 things I see my clients struggling with right now:
Feeling they need to spend money on storage items to be organised - I always encourage my clients to utilise the storage they already have to avoid spending money unnecessarily. You really do not need to decant your dried food into aesthetically pleasing glass jars to be organised. Making use of what you already have is not only great for your purse but also for the environment (look out for sustainable and DIY storage suggestions coming soon).
Surely we've got to say yes to every social invitation to make up for the lost time during lockdown? We've all missed our loved ones while we've have pandemic restrictions, but saying yes to everything and anything can, and most likely will, result in burnout. Make sure to really prioritise the activities that bring you joy. It's better to only attend social events you will be truly present at, than to sit there wishing you were somewhere else!
It's all well and good being able to work from the sofa in your loungewear, but when work life and home life merge into one, WFH just doesn't seem so good anymore. It can be hard to find the balance and avoid the crossover but there are a few simple things you can do to keep the two separate and more importantly allow you to focus on what's important.
